sigtag-l -- Concentrates on informal metadata known as tagging.

About sigtag-l
English (USA)

SIG/TAG provides a forum within the American Society for Information
Science & Technology (ASIS&T) for exploration of the research, development
and use of metadata. Concentrating on informal metadata such as tagging and
annotation, as well as on interpretation, mining and search and retrieval in these areas, SIG/TAG is intentionally interdisciplinary.

Topics such as (but by no means limited to) Computer-Supported Cooperative
Work (CSCW), linguistics, machine learning, sociology, psychology, learning theories, and human-computer interaction (HCI)/usability issues will be addressed. Rather than a focus on development of standards, SIG/TAG takes a user-centered approach toward content description, search and retrieval.
